 In 1992 DFF established their own annual award, destined for a cinematographer who had excelled professionally, either in a specific movie or by some other contribution to cinematography. The award became known as "Klukprisen", the Kluk-award, because the 10,000 DKK (1,350 ECU) in cash was accompanied by a small so-called "kluk"-bottle with contents. From 2003 the award was sponsored by Bico Professional A/S and Arnold & Richter GmbH. From 2010 Bico Professional A/S alone is sponsoring the award.
